"Your Person"

Whether your an emo,
A Goth, or a punk.
You are a person.
So please don't get drunk,
On the lies that are given
to bring you down.
But I get it.
Because sometimes,
We all want to drown.

You are what keeps
the world from getting lost.
You are what keeps
you different without a cost.

Your life isn't a cost
that you should pay,
Because they only hate
who they are today.

Because the person they are
Didn't think they could change.
So they tried to change you
Because they thought you were strange.

But truth is you are strange,
And weird, and odd.
But that's just 'cuz you're a person.
And for that, I applaud.
