Perhaps to chance I'll see another day
To find another moment and a better way
Or maybe change the things I say
Change my face and change my name

Whatever I do it'll be my choice
And perhaps they'll finally hear my voice
The pain I feel and the life I've led
Will haunt me til the day I'm dead

So perhaps they'll finally hear my voice
But whatever I do will be my choice
Don't cry for me it doesn't matter
I'm bruised I'm broken and my body is battered

I'll leave this world and hope for the best
For my family my friends and all of the rest
I go to my grave knowing I tried
And that's how I lived and that's how I died
