Written at a young age after listening to a story from my grandfather (Pte Robert Noble)

The Tree in the War.

Once upon a time there was a tree, and there was a war.

Bang! Boom!

"Ouch a bullet hit me"
"Load the cannon"
"Yes sir"

Bang! Boom! Crack!

The tree was lucky . The bullet landed right beside him.

"Take your battle stations"

Bang!

One man threw a hand grenade.

Bang!

"Help, I've been taken prisoner"

Ten cannon trucks fired bullets.

"You look at that bang!"

The war was over.
