Dancing

A free-form poem

Everything smooth
Everything connected
Everything precise
Everything elegant
It just feels right
Toes tap against the floor like raindrops on a rooftop
Every click they make is pleasing to the ear
Limbs glide like wings through open air, feeling wind gush over them
until they stop to capture a statue in perfect form
The body moves as one
The music just seems to guide
We dance because we want to be free
We dance so we can be beautiful
