Sacred places once revered, respected, Churches, schools, community halls. Are no longer havens for refuge. Soaked in bloody deluge they are NRA target practice walls. This is not the America I know, Where Congress fails to act To keep us safe from harm at home. America, where I grew up with love, Free from fear of attack. “As my colleagues go to sleep tonight, they need to think about whether the political support of the gun industry is worth the blood that flows endlessly onto the floors of American churches, elementary schools, movie theaters, and city streets.
