Epiphany about home

Home is where my heart is,
but my heart isn't in Oklahoma
anymore.

Carrying my memories with me,
I left the Sooner State behind
and found another habitat
out west.

In the process of my metamorphoses,
I changed
my political party
and my spiritual path.

Home is neither a house
nor an acre of land,
but the orientation
of my soul.
