Together

We can conquer our fears as long as we're together.

In the absence of light
where shadows rest
you laid your head
upon my breast.

You whispered to me
your deepest fears.
As daylight dawned
I saw your tears.

I held you tight
close to my heart
my greatest fear
that we should part.

Yet, you proved to me
that you were true
and showed that love
could see us through.
