A Right For Humanity

No man should hold the reign
of human souls-
nor keep them from a journey
that merits a life of freedom;
to walk in any direction,
one chooses to take.
No family should go without
making a choice
of their own distinction
and never shadow a keeper
that justifies-
brutality, torture or death-
as a way to gain authority.
No country should set boundaries
for fellow man, woman or child
to walk without pride through
a path of life without asylum.
No child should ever have to fear
the wrath-
from unjustified behaviour
forcing life trauma
National Freedom should always be
a shared sacred vow-
A longing for living in peace
Without being chased by
hate or cruelty by
those who darken our path
of security and humanity.
