Short poem about my mask

Masks

Sadness, pain, profound sorrow, loneliness
I hide them under my mask.
I'm seen, yet not
I'm surrounded by others, yet alone

My feelings of happiness, thrill, joy
I hold them under my mask,
I'm still seen, yet not,
I'm still surrounded by others, yet alone

I've created so many masks,
One for each of my feelings
One for each person I have met
One for each moment I have lived

The first mask forced onto me at birth
Then one final mask, the death mask
It hides a life of being seen, yet not,
A life surrounded by others, yet always alone
