Writer's Cramp: Feeling special when the universe sends a message and you recognize it. |
| I toss my line loaded with a delectable morsel, into the river hoping to entice a dazzling rainbow. I wait. I watch. I worry. Alas, having no luck I creep back through the bushes toward the trail. As I brush aside the branches before me, I gasp. A kaleidoscope of yellow wings swarm from the leaves and flutter all around me like children playing carefree at the park — swinging, sliding, seesawing, and skipping. As still as the statue in the park I watch in wonder as the scene unfolds around me. And then, I feel the message: the universe is watching over me. Tomorrow as I lay sedated having a part of my body removed I needn't worry I will be fine. --- 25 lines/Nature Written for "The Writer's Cramp" The things you learn when you write ▶︎ |
