What is it that motivates people to make stuff?

I concluded that the origin of the impulse was the same as that which motivated the first stone tool makers -the endorphin rush that came when they made stuff with their hands. Scrapbookers, greenware painters, the great architects, major painters, and sculptors, everyone is an endorphin addict. Human beings make stuff for the endorphin rush, including me.
