The alarm bell rang deep in my soul,
As my hands clasped over my chest.
The light in my eyes went dark as coal,
I tried to breathe, I tried my best.
My breath was frozen; it wouldn't come.
Skin slick, turned a deep hue of blue.
Wildly beating, my heart's like a drum.
Sharp pains, more intense, grew anew.
I went down hard and slammed to the floor,
Eyes wide open, but my soul soared.
In a flash, I stood at Heaven's door,
Bathed in light by Jesus the Lord.
