Darjeeling is a hill station that the British created to get away from the heat and dust of summer in India. You can still see quaint British houses from a bygone era. There is a toy steam train which chug chugs up the mountains and is now a world heritage. This was my daughter Aleena's (foreground) first visit to this lovely Himalayan hill resort with a spectacular view of the Kanchenjunga.
