I long for rest
To test
My insanity
I can’t feel the pain
Maimed to the perfection
I can’t help but desire
Wired and buzzing
In a caffeine
Induced
Overdose.

Close the door
I can’t bear the talking
Walking in circles
Tears drop
Brain stem lopped
In a botched lobotomy
Of senses
Dulled and I
Just want
To find a place
Where my mind
Can’t race
To conclusions I don’t
Want to face
Encased
In a frenetic pace.

The lock breaks
Shatters
My head bursts
With the tension
Of living.

Close the door
I can’t bear the knowledge
Questing for more
I feel my fists pounding
Rounding a corner and trying
To feel
Something
Undull my words and
Frighten my senses

I’ll just take my chances
