No More Chances/Inner Peace

This was the first poem I ever put on this site. It was written for my ex.

I wish I could've told you,
How much you meant to me.
I wish I could've shown you,
But now you'll never see.

The love I had would never die,
And yet somehow it's gone.
I hope you find your king,
Because you've thrown away the pawn.

I wish you luck in life ahead,
Your worries shall be small.
I hope you find true happiness,
somewhere beyond this wall.

I know you care not of what I say,
But listen to me well.
You'll need a helping hand someday,
Or you'll live a life of hell.

I will never give up,
I will never let go.
I will never stop talking.
This you should know.

I sit here now, not broken hearted,
Although I spoke of love departed.
I finally have come to realize...
...I lied.

My love will never vanish,
My love will never cease.
My love is with you always,
Please let it ride in peace.
