Mother Nature's Symphony |
| Silhouettes whisper on the evening breeze as the sun seeks her slumber behind the trees. With glimpses of gold on a pink chiffon sea and branches like hands steal the daylight from me. Sitting quiet and still, I watch the great show as the moon makes his entrance, silent and slow. I gaze at the sky in awe of the sight as the first evening star dances, twinkling bright. The drone of the crickets filling the night, the tap-tapping of moths hypnotized by the light, Howls of the coyotes, calls from birds I can't see, Providing the music of the night around me. The rustle of leaves expose cats on the prowl, suddenly silenced by the hoot of an owl. In this quiet moment I rise from my place, swatting mosquitoes that light on my face. Returning inside and closing the door, I open it again for the waiting encore. The song of the night and the stars in the sky, while the cool evening breeze bids a haunting goodbye |
