This is another in the series of Inspector Lynley murder mysteries. This murder takes place in Lynley's hometown while he is home celebrating his engagement. It is quite different from the book, which was written as a Prequel to the rest of the series. Two key characters are not present, but that allows for Havers to be part of the action. | ||

the fact that Havers is present throughout as she is hardly in the book. She is my favorite character in the books and in the DVD. | ||

the fact that Deborah and St. James are not in the story. I missed having them there. | ||

did a good job with the story. I think it was adapted to fit the featured cast. | ||
