Ah family traditions and the dysfunction that goes with it. You have a good story with a substantial amount of meat upon which to chew.
Form and structure are rock solid.
Emotionally the reader sides with Bettie. Who'd of thunk mister right would come into her life at just the right time.
Flow is smooth and this is enhanced by a grammatically squeaky clean write.
Pace is slow and in the end the reader is happy to know there is a happy ending.

A heart warming tale of a thanksgiving ride to grandma's house. The story is chock full of emotion that the reader uses to identify with along the way.
The flow is so smooth, it's as if one were on an ice covered lake skating along through your story.
The pace is slow and detail filled. The lessons learned transcend one family to that of every family member who happens to read your tale.

I thought I knew more about Stephen King than 5 out of 5. Of course I have not picked up any of his works in a few decades. I guess I moved out of the horror section after a period in my life.
But it was still fun to go back and see that SK is still influencing others who are more into the horror genre than I am lately.
I know "Haven" is based on one of his novels because I watch that on demand or the dvr'd ones often.
Thanks for putting the quiz together so the WdCrs can have a brief respite from the toils of day to day life.

Thanks for your perspective on how the front page receives it's stories. More politics and timing than importance of the story. I'll look at the front page a little differently from now on.
I liked the emotion that you displayed in this piece. It's almost a cathartic thing, you've taken your stand and drawn the line in the sand. No going back for you. Or at least that's what I heard from these words.
Flow is smooth and pace is slow.
The reader is kept in the story from stem to stern and finding no grammatical snafu's, no suggestions for improvement can be made for your complete package.

A nice little photo album of your daughter Kylee. I never played sports but I did appreciate those who were able to. Kylee sounds like a well rounded athlete and it's good to read that she also coaches younger people in the sport of Lacross. That's giving back to the community in a grand way.

Found your word search about the Wdc.
It reminds one just how much is available on the site.
It just scratches the surface because I know there is education that goes on too in the halls of the WdC.
I like the way the words you find go gray or are crossed out as you go and the different directions you can go to find a word. I twas a challenge, to be sure, and it's always fun to find something that stimulates the senses.
The best thing I liked about it is seeing StroyMaster and StoryMistress in the the mix because yall are the heart and soul of the WdC.
Praying for the family still and know that you are not alone. Your friends in the WdC are just an email or IM away.
