My review is based on professional editing points. It is meant to be honest, encouraging, and respectful in accordance with WDC guidelines.

THE STORY

The pirates steal the loot and it's up to Webbie and StephBee to get the treasure back.

WHAT I LIKED

I liked the unique plot involving me and Webbie in saving the treasure.

POV NARRATION/TENSE

This is told in the 3rd person omniscient. Past tense was used appropriately.

DIALOGUE

The dialogue accents the narration.

OPENING PARAGRAPH

The opening paragraph does a good job setting up the dilemma - the treasure is stolen and it's up to Webbie and her faithful Bee to get it back.

CHARACTERS

The witch, the Bee and Jimmy take to the air and sea to find the treasure. They're brave and courageous.

THE POEM

The poem talks about how a mountain can challenge us.

WHAT I LIKED

I liked the positive message of the mountain. Some people may think of mountains as hard to overcome, but if one buckles down and puts their mind to it, they overcome any mountain that's in their way.

STRUCTURE

This is a diamante poem. The rules involve having 7 seven lines, first and last line, just one word which is a noun, 2nd and 6th lines, 2 words which are adjectives, 3rd and 5th lines have 3 words which are verbs, 4th line has 4 words - nouns. Diamantes don't have to play hard by the rules, but they should take the shape of a diamond.

MECHANICS

I did not spot any spelling/punctuation mistakes. Good use of WDC ML to increase the font and make it easier to read on WDC.

DESCRIPTIONS

The descriptive words blend in words you expect to find like "massive" and "unsurmountable," but also those words associated with emotional mountains like "anxiety" "resolve," and I really enjoyed how the poet made the subtle connection there with the physical and the emotional.

PARTING THOUGHTS/SUGGESTIONS

The opening sets the stage for the poem. I enjoyed the emotional approach to the poem - it helped to make it personal. The poem followed the prompt and used one of the following words: mountain, beach, or forest. Good luck in the Bard's Hall Contest.

Full Moon

Balram was, quite literally, tearing his hear out. The studio had been booked, the singers were on standby and the producer was waiting ...

Waiting for lyrics and a tune. Lyrics and a tune that Balram should've delivered to him three days ago.

"When the muse is sick, there's no music," he said aloud and then laughed hysterically. He was about to seriously annoy the richest producer in the industry, and he was thinking of puns.

“The moon is full tonight.”

The voice interrupted his frantic packing. "What?" he stammered, turning to find his best friend, Pankaj, standing in the doorway.

“The moon is full tonight," Pankaj repeated. "And you are looking frazzled. Come for a walk, it'll do you good."

Balram didn't protest. Slipping on a pair of shoes, he pocketed his house keys and grasped Pankaj firmly by the arm. "Lead on," he said.

They walked down the empty street, the moon looking down on them.

"Whoa!" Pankaj cried, "watch out, buddy, you almost bumped into ..." He stopped. Balram was beaming at him.

"I have it! I have it!" Balram yelled.

The song was a huge hit.

"I've found the moon
On this empty street .
Not in the sky
In my heartbeat."
