WELCOME TO: GEMINI RISING ![]() UPDATED INTRO 30 JUNE 2025: Just a little about me. I've been married for 33 years this past NOV and currently live in Southern California, but I grew up in New Hampshire. me in my 20's I've got 2 boys who are young adults. ![]() I work as a 911 dispatcher for LAPD. I enjoy my job a lot. Still. If you can believe that. I love to write. Thankfully both of my boys achieved Eagle Scout. My Scouting days are over and I'm back to focusing on my writing. I like to get out in nature, drink coffee and watch football. Here's a little bio about my zodiac. GEMINI: Gemini, the sign of the Twins, is dual-natured, elusive, complex and contradictory. On the one hand it produces the virtue of versatility, and on the other the vices of two-facedness and flightiness. The sign is linked with Mercury, the planet of childhood and youth, and its subjects tend to have the graces and faults of the young. When they are good, they are very attractive; when they are bad they are more the worse for being the charmers they are. Like children they are lively, and happy, if circumstances are right for them, or egocentric, imaginative and restless. Their good qualities are attractive and come easily to them. They are affectionate, courteous, kind, generous, and thoughtful towards the poor and suffering - provided none of the activities resulting from expressing these traits interferes too greatly with their own lives and comforts. Geminians can be successful in many walks of life though their general characteristics tend to make them unreliable. They are often skilled manipulators of language, in speech and writing, and may be: debaters, diplomats (though in politics they are more interested in theory than practice), orators, preachers (brilliant rather than profound), teachers, authors, poets, journalists, or lawyers. # 5 1980's Sounds - Beatles & Get Back & John Lennon Passing the torch from the 1st British Invasion to the 2nd British Invasion As I grew in my Beatle love, I began to savor the sounds from different parts in their careers from the early Skiffle music to the pop sounds, to the experimental sounds to the rocker sounds. I discovered the Beatles in progression, from early tunes to the middle songs and to the end. Abbey Road was their last studio album, but "Let It Be," was their last album released containing for me, their good bye song, "Get Back." Everyone has a Good bye song. For me, my Beatles Good bye song is "Get Back." I love the driving beat of the song. The wistful longing to get back to those emotional things that made the group a tight bunch of friends. When I just want to let go "Get Back" reminds me what my early years and my Beatle love did to reinforce the resilience I needed for the years ahead. GET BACk The Beatles There had to be more than the Beatles. At the time, John Lennon and his solo music appealed to me most out of the 4. McCartney was too pop for me, George was interesting but I wasn't ready for the Eastern influence in his solo career. Ringo was just hanging out. John Lennon's "Double Fantasy" had just been released and I discovered there was music outside of the Beatles. Sounds stupid I know, but Lennon's "Double Fantasy," gave me confidence to explore more music outside of the Beatles. Now it was time to let go and to grow, knowing the Beatles would always provide the backbone of my musical beat. Like Lennon, I felt like I was Starting Over but with an education that would guide my musical preferences and choices going forward, tailored to my life. The 2nd British Invasion was on the horizon.
