It's just another day for me. I was surprised when I looked up Friday the 13th to see the number of people who do have reactions to the date. The only time I think of 13 at all is when I purchase donuts or bagels. Is it a bakers dozen or a dozen for that price?

It's a great day for practical jokers. Believers or non, it's a day that the last thing on anyone's mind is expecting a prank.

Enjoy the day and ignore all those studies that say this day is when more bad things happen than any other.

Dark chocolate is my favorite as well. I agree totally unadulterated chocolate is the only way to go. My husband teases me about a purist. My ice cream unadorned, my coffee black... no sweeteners or creamer for me.

Nature

We fell asleep in one world, and woke up in another.
Suddenly Disney is out of magic,
Paris is no longer romantic,
New York doesn't stand up anymore,
the Chinese wall is no longer a fortress, and Mecca is empty.
Hugs & kisses suddenly become weapons, and not visiting parents & friends becomes an act of love.
Suddenly you realize that power, beauty & money are worthless, and can't get you the oxygen you're fighting for.
Nature continues on with its life and it is beautiful. It only puts humans in cages. I think it's sending us a message:
"You are not necessary. The air, earth, water and sky without you are fine. When you come back, remember that you are my guests. Not my masters."
