Paints a beautiful image of a nice day fishing. You make both options of boat or beach sound relaxing in just 4 lines.

One thing, the first 3 lines are 8 syllables and the last is 9, so just needs a quick revision there for the sake of the form.

Other than that, it's a nice, short, and sweet poem.

I really felt the "heat" in your opening 3. The alliteration worked here and just put the image of a hot sunny day in my mind right away.

I feel that the 5 can use some revision. Just seemed a little unpolished, maybe even forced, especially after such a good opening to the poem.

Then, my favorite part was the closing. The 7 was really solid and closed out your poem nicely.

I liked the opening, although I'm not too sure I understood. Was it meant to paint a picture of a memory?
Or at least that is how I interpreted it.

I liked the rest of the poem. A simple, yet beautiful scene. I got a good sense of an Arizona morning.

"Not once, but twice did I almost die,
Time to gain control of my life, I have to try.
Because my family forbids me to go anywhere,
So I promise from now on to handle me with care."

It's amazing how I can relate to that 100%. I liked this poem because it was straightforward from the heart. I can understand exactly where your mind is.

Yes, you are not done yet. You have a lot left to give. Stay strong and keep showing resilience.
