I usually try to figure things out on my own before I read the manual or resort to YouTube videos. I just bought a toaster that came with a thick user manual (seriously?). I was able to figure out how to use it without the manual, as with most things. User manuals overcomplicate things and thank goodness for YouTubers who take the time to simplify things for us all.
I knew I was going to enjoy this article based on its title alone ("The Books I Worship"). I see this is an older article and I'm sure you've added several books to the list since it was created. I've read several of these books and the one I most worship is "White Oleander" by Janet Fitch, as I remember her power of description in that novel being like no other author's I'd read before. In fact, it's one of my favorite novels and this article has moved me to reread it.
I got quite the chuckle out of this story, other than the fact you were ill the next morning! I think it was a humor hangover as you suggest but, indeed, you gave your fellow scouts and Scoutmaster a night to remember and a few jokes to add to their own comedy routines.
I loved this poem about your little dog. It's funny how we adopt all of these critters, and they end up taking over our homes and our lives and become quite choosy and demanding. I'm a mom of three cats and they are all quite similar to your little dog, so this poem rang quite true!
This is a very sweet and heartfelt song. I'd far rather be rich in love than money, have someone to come home to rather than an empty house. Money can help mask loneliness for sure. You see someone with a good job and driving a nice car and living in a mansion and automatically think they are happy just because of their wealth. Wealth exists in many forms other than money, as this song suggests.
That's a lot to take on in one year, and I'm wondering how you're doing. Have any of the books you've read so far challenged your thinking or inspired new ideas? These are some really good tips on writing a newsletter. While I don't write a newsletter, I have one in particular that I subscribe to and read quite often because the author has mastered these tips. I know he's trying to sell something, but he does it so sneakily the reader doesn't notice.
That is such a very sweet and intimate letter and thank you for sharing it. Linda had a hard life before you came along, and I know through her very own words how you not only saved her life but gave her something to look forward to. Handwritten letters like this one hold special meaning and unfortunately, not many people write letters to one another these days and won't have mementos like these to cherish.
There's no doubt that many jobs are disappearing and that, as humans (not robots), we have to be adaptable. The main focus of this article is on AI writers and with that in mind, I'd definitely read any well-written story helped along by AI (such as this article), and it only makes sense to a publisher to look for ways to utilize AI in the future.
I really enjoyed this story and mini adventure into the forest. There's definitely a bit of a love story brewing between the witch and the handsome man! I like that I can come back to this story and fill in different words to change things around. It's like reading a new story every time-one that I have a part in writing!
I enjoyed this bittersweet glimpse into your courtship with Linda and your married life, and I think because of so many of the "I love yous" that you both exchanged, you were able to move ahead in life without the guilt that often accompanies such a tragedy. I also enjoyed the song lyrics you included with the story.
These are some really good tips. I get rather lost when I begin to study the Bible because there are so many books in it, and I really don't know where to start or how to break it down for myself let alone put together a Bible study for others. I'll try some of your organizing tips, as hosting a Bible study is something I really want to do.
I am really liking this story. Allison sounds like a money hungry leach who can't be trusted plus Leonardo's maid was stealing from him, so how on earth can he be expected to trust females? I'm hoping Madelyn is a little bit nicer than the rest of the women he's been dealing with!
This story got me so emotional. I would also like to have known this woman who sounded so bold and faithful, and what a tragedy you lost her so early in your marriage. I believe every time it snows, I'll also be reminded of this beautiful love story you shared!
