I like the subject matter, very applicable in our world right now. I do think that you could be more expressive by making it a longer piece, elaborating more.
For example, the lines, "wish we could just close the door
on the world and this generation
also on some of the population", you can put in why we should close the door.
Just a suggestion, and of course, my opinion. I think with a little more elaboration this would be a very good piece. Please let me know if you edit it. I would love to reread it.
I found this piece to be very good. It took me a little bit to understand where your love was, but I still enjoyed it. Very emotional and heartfelt piece.
