I found this very beautiful. The ending ringing true to me as well. Even those who have caused damage and pain deserve to one day heal, and not only recieve compassion, but to have the chance to share that compassion with themselves and others. I think we often leave our own shadows behind, not realizing that those parts of ourselves are still us. It's scary to face love and it's scary to leave love, even when it hurts. We cling onto people or ideas that make us feel loved when we don't feel loved by ourselves. Finding that self-worth and love within is one of the most valuable and difficult lessons to learn.
