I liked your story and it needs to be continued I thought that it was a great introductory chapter. Kevin could tell his father's story after discovering his father's library of family journals. Kevin's story needs a global viewpoint. Suggestion: Kevin isn't isolated in his gifts there are others of his family and race. Some of the member of this race went into hiding while other of them, decided to become a part of the human culture
