I am very thankful, for writing.com. I've been looking for a way to showcase my stories, poems and prose.

I had stopped writing poetry for many years but about 7 years ago, I started writing again. I found WDC about a year ago and this site has helped me tremendously!! I felt, almost immediately, that I had a caring group of friends with the same love of poetry that I had. The contests keep me challenged and the reviews and groups to become a part of are inspiring and helpful. I have read some fabulous writers on WDC as well. I had joined AuthorsDen before coming to WDC but was not at all impressed with the caliber of writing on that site. WDC is different! There is REAL talent here!! And now, I'm publishing a book of my own poetry!! THANKS WDC, for encouraging me to Write On!!!
This site offers something for everyone. Avid readers and writers alike soon discover WDC is an addictive virtual utopia! Whether fledgling or published, writers of all skills and backgrounds will benefit from the honest, helpful, and encouraging support of an entire community. No better site exsists for readers or authors than Writing.Com and there is certainly no other place I would want to call home. Thank you all for making this such a wonderful place—THE premire place to be.
I wrote my first fiction at the age of about six years old, and have never completely stopped since. But my discovery of Writing.com has kept me writing more steadily the past 3 months than I have in many years. This site is wonderful for both encouragement and inspiration, and the Reviews are marvelous to give and receive. I can't imagine being without this site now. Many thanks!
Everyone knows that there's no place like home and Writing.com is just that! A home! After almost two years I'm still very attached to this site, its people and the different styles of writing we all share here. I've met wonderful people here from all over the world, some of them who became very good friends. All of us have our different reasons for being here, it's the support we get from others that makes it worth while. I know I'm proud to be a member of Writing.com and plan to stick around for many years to come!
When I first saw writing.com, I liked the wide range area of the stories. I wanted to look for stories to read and this site has many of them. I have been looking at the site since the beginning of fall of 07. This site is good for writers want to show their work. I joined this site because I write stories if I am not doing anything else. But all in all, this is a excellent site.
Writing.Com...I was browsing the Internet one day and wondering what to do with all my hand-written poetry. I had piles of journals with poetry in them, some good, some poor, but all mine. I typed "writing" into the web browser and this site called Writing.Com came up. I figured there was no harm in looking, so I clicked on the link. It was then that a whole new dimension of life popped up on the screen! A free membership? Could this be? Okay, so I decided to try it, and it was one of the best things I've ever done! All of a sudden, I had access to a place to display my work, give and receive ratings and reviews, and chat with other authors. There was no doubt about it, I needed a paid membership because I was going to be here a lot. And I'm still here. I would recommend this site to anyone who is a writer and would like to grow as an author. This is a great site! Please try it out!
I was ready to write a testimonial on my very first day at WDC. I'm still a newbie in that I've only been here a few weeks, but the number of new and different pieces I found myself writing at the prompts of various forums in the community has proven the term "newbie" to be outdated, I think. I've made a few friends here and even invited my own friends and family to the site. I've been fighting with myself for years over writing a feature length novel, but I suppose I never thought it was good enough. With the help of Writing.com, not only have I discovered I'm good enough, but that I don't only have to write a novel. I can write anything, and people are just lining up to read it. Thanks, WDC!
I'm pretty much brand new, and still learning my way around the site, but from what I've seen and read, it's a wonderful site! It's helpful in more ways than one and gives many opportunities to learn and create at your own pace. A lot of websites have rules about posting stuff, and you can only post stuff after so long, and many of them, it takes forever to get responses. With writing.com, you may get responses in a day or two, or if you're lucky, even sooner!
I am in awe! I mean, I heard of this site, but never realized the hook at the end of the line was so enormous! Writing.com is a phenomonal place for creativity, making friends, games and all kinds of interactive fun! I have only been a registered user not even a day and it's got me hooked! I finally have a place I can call my very own 'mind dump' and write everything that is in need of being released from my brain. I can share stories and my poetry and even join in contests that are challenging and enjoyable. I already have other people like myself helping me become a better writer. It's an amazing site! The navigation is easy and there are many things to do to keep me occupied. I absolutely love it here. Thank you so much Writing.com!
I have been here for around 3 years now and it's a place I call home most of the time. I have met some fantastic people who share such a huge passion for writing as I do. I have grown as a person and as a writer because of the people I have met on here. I have had my ups and my downs with this site through the past 3 years, but it has become a place I call My Second Home. If I ever do get published I know for sure I will have to mention the people I have met and who have helped me in my acknowledgments. Join this site and you'll be glad you did!

I must say that this is an interesting website. The thing that strikes me the most about it is how kind and friendly everybody has been so far. It is almost a support network, for crying out loud. A rare find on the Internet, to be sure.
I have to admit that this is where my heart lies and will forever stay. I thank everyone including my very dear friend who is like a father to me J.R. whittman for working with me and helping me with my first up coming book. Thank you again for all your support.
Writing.com has been a great inspiration to me. I have greatly improved the quality of my writing, and my motivation to write. Discussions with many like-minded people have helped me, and the excellent reviews I have received have taken my writing to a whole new level. Thank you WDC!

The thrill of seeing that I have new messages, likely to be either reviews or responses to the reviews that I sent, is intoxicating. The effects it has are amazing! Not only on my writing, which I think has improved since I joined thanks to the wonderful suggestions from reviewers, but in my entire life. When I wake up in the morning, WDC is the website that I go to first, and it's the last site I sign off from at night. I dare say that my family isn't over the moon about the amount of time I've been spending online because of WDC, but I am...and so is my writing.
One day I was fed up with not being able to slide out of my writer's block hole and I went on a daring search for "Writers' sites." After one failure to the next I dropped my baggage here, exhausted and feeling-at first-like this would be a last resort site. I am happy to say, after only two full days of being here, that this is a recommended five star hotel for any author who wants a enthusiastic and welcoming site to share their writing. I'd be a fool to point you down the other turn in the fork in the road like I nearly did two days ago
I would like to thank the members of WDC for their help and suggestions. I'm seeing now where my story can improve. This is the best site I've found for newbie writers and I'm looking forward to many years on this site.
I have found that here at writing.com it is a place where many writer's of all types of writing that are very gifted as well as talented are here to share thier stories, poems and many other writings with us all. I have found writing.com to be very relaxing and a true way to get to know and relate to many others just like myself, that write from the depths of their soul and allow their spirits to soar high in their writing abilities... where many of us share our lives, thoughts and experiences in our writing in our own words with others here at writing.com......Come and join us here at writing.com and learn and share with many others and all the rewards in contests as well as the true reward of writing freely and openly...expressing ourself is very important and you too can do it here right at writing.com.
I blame my Daughter for this. During a conversation in her garden one day, she told me of WDC and suggested I post some of my stories on here. Up to now, my stories have been hidden from family members because of the nature of most of them and the feeling that they would believe me to be some kind of pervert. Never the less, being the egotistical man I am (aren't all authors?) I posted a couple and got some favourable reviews, music to the eye. Now I find myself a member of a group that span the globe instead of being the lonely writer that most are. It is a comfortable feeling that the comments I get are constructive, considerate and helpful. (Shame that UK and USA spelling are so different.) The site should be renamed "HOME FOR AUTHORS" or some such, because that is what it has become. My thanks to the people who work bloody hard in keeping it going.

I found writing.com when I was trying to find a place where I could read other people's work. I signed up and within a few days I was hooked. WDC has everyone a writer or reader could need. Interactives so you can work on a story together, different static items, contests, chat and more. You can make friends and just have a great time. I love wdc.
I am an avid writer, one who speaks like I am a character in a book normally. When I found WDC from a friend, I was glad! Finally, a place to post my work for community review, and best of all for inspiration and other's enjoyment. Thank you WDC!
Before I found WDC I had a hard time getting anyone, even my closest friends and family to read my work. I have only been here for a couple of weeks and already I have had several people review what little bit I have put on here in the most helpful ways possible. I'd like to shake the hand of whoever thought of this.
I found writing.com while doing a google search for writing and ideas. I was at first skeptical of how this site would work. But I opened a free membership after looking around and finding a home in cyberspace. I have met loads of really nice people and there have been very few things that I have read that I didn't like. My only complaint about writing.com is that I am hooked on the site and spend more time than I should here reading and adding things to my port. Thank you Story Master and Mistress for giving my humble scribblings a place to call home.
I have only been a member for about two weeks, but have found this site to be the most honest, friendly site for authors and wannabes to exchange ideas criticisms and ideas for all to be the best site I have come across.

The site is well organized for those who wish just to review up and coming authors and for up and coming authors to get their stories, poems' songs, etc. to be reviewed before submitting them to a publisher. I am currently working on a biographical series about myself and a dear friend who passed away and have welcomed the sugestions to make the story line flow better. I'll take three to one odds that authors such as Stephen King, Dean Koontz, etc had a site like this to preview their works before submitting to publishers. Who knows if all goes well with my Sherman series I may submit it for professional ie, Random House Etc. for publication if enough people like it.

Finally! A site that offers readers and writers a well-rounded and legitimate venue. Writing.com is the site to be a member on if you love to read or write. The feedback system from other members is the best I have seen. For me the learning experience has been unparellaled. It's like haveing a dozen or more professors at your fingertips. For a long time I have been looking to write online and been scammed in the process by so-called 'writing for money' sites.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
