Ever wonder how the hell you're already in high school? Here's something for you.
How fast things change

That boy you thought was icky on the playground at school
Now holds your hand and tells you he loves you,and you love him too
Those friends that you played dress-up and tea party with
now give you disdainful looks as you pass by
ABC's and 123's turn into
Shakespeare and 3x + b = c
And those red ribbons you tied on the fence of the school to remember to say "no"
Fade in your mind as you say yes
Who is this older stranger that stares from inside the mirror
The child inside you shivers in the basement of your soul
and keeps th e memories of when being a teen felt
so far away
