Strangely erratic,
silver and gold-
Merely quadratic
answers they hold.

Desperate, manic,
leaflets unfurl.
As in a panic,
papers do whirl.

Holding on tightly,
Nary let loose-
so common a fix
painted chartreuse.

Used within reason
afore the twist.
Cast as mere refuge,
but rarely missed.
