A boy is walking home and a voice catches his attention.

I hear this from a distance.

I don't think it's intended for me so I continue walking.

I continue to continue walking.

"Hey you! What is your name?"

I look to put a face to the voice.

I blush and begin to walk a little faster.

"Are you're just going to ignore me?"

Of course I am,

But it is the opposite of what I want to do.

I just can’t manage.

I can't even get myself to look in her direction again.

My heart is beating so loudly.

I close my eyes and take a deep breath.

Then another.

My face is so hot...

"Um, what are you doing?"

Curious, I open my eyes.

My feet had failed me.

My mind had lied to me.

I haven't moved since I heard the word "ignore".

"Come over here."

I want to, but all I can muster is to just stand there.

Standing and staring at my feet.

How can I say no to a please like that?

Before I decide to do so, my feet start to guide me in her direction.

With each step closer to her, my heart beats louder.

Again, I blush.

But this time,

It’s because I fear she can hear it.
