A song written for the valiant women of Dastarius, who fought the dragon.
Word Count: 125

A song written for the valiant Women of Darstarius.
Author: Fallheart Glorium

The wheat shall grow again, although the fields are singed.
The house shall be rebuilt, and laughter will again prevail.
We fought with burning swords, although our hands were seared.
We fought with burning hearts, when all the men were gone.

The Dragon came, an evanescent gleam.
The Dragon left, a shade of winters dim.
We cannot lie, until the fight is done.
We cannot lie; our hearts are not as one.

The flowers bloom again, although we lie beneath.
The time will come again, Dastarius shall mirth.
We fought with broken swords, although our hands were injured.
We fought with broken swords, although our hearts were pierced.

The Dragon came, and autumn now has fallen.
The Dragon left, but we shall leave no more.
