Poet's Place response |
The winter chill was everywhere Snow blanketed the ground all about For us there was joy in the air Mother got the cocoa pot out. Steamy goodness soon warmed us all We savored every single drop The cups from which we drank were tall None of us wanted the fun to stop. Cocoa warmed us through like a stove Despite the winter chill outside . The house felt like a blessed cove And our troubles ran away to hide. The memories remain so clear Each day anew they bring me cheer. |
