How I see the winter
Winter

I never knew I loved the winter
But the wind running through the trees
The leaves waving on the end of their branches
The crispness of the air
The green of the grasses glistening
The sun bouncing of each blade sending light to all corners
They look different somehow
Have they always been this green?
Does the winter make them shine?

The wind was blowing on my face
Watering my eyes
The branches bending as if in time to some long forgotten symphony
I never thought I’d enjoy this season
But with my cheeks feeling flush
My eyes watering and the chill wind running around my neck
I’m feeling it is different now
It’s not as bad as it once was
The cold brings you alive makes you feel again.
