**Inspired by a scene in a sci-fi book, that I've reimaged some: Wing commander standing on observation deck, staring out into the darkness of space, letter crumpled in his fist. One of his pilots wrote, confessing her love but, knowing it couldn't be, kamikazed on her next mission, going out spectacularly without ever learning that he felt the same.
