Ver 1.0 - Was asked to try something more cheerful / pop-like

Two hearts beating.
Two of us as one.

Playground days, and
Childish ways, when
Holding hands, proved our
Puppy love (puppy, puppy love) those

Simple days, with
Ease that stays, with
Two hearts beating,
Two of us as one.
We weren't retreating,
No we're never done.

We grew close, how?
Brushed our lips (Oh wow, oh wow)
New feelings, here,
I loved you, dear.
So, why'd it all go wrong?

Those restless days, and our
Separate ways, with
Two hearts beating,
Two of us as one.
We weren't retreating,
No we're never done.

They said, it won't last,
And they've gone too fast (too fast, won't last)
They're normal for kids, nothing lasts,
Hot like a nova, they burn out fast.

But we're so right, and still going strong,
Our future's bright, and we've proved them wrong!
We know, that love grows slow, and
Years flew by fast, the bonds that tie last.

Time cant break will
Hand in hand, we're still
Two hearts beating,
Two of us as one. (Together we are one)
We're not retreating,
We'll never be
undone.
