This poem is about a girl who carries everything around with her... |
| My chalice is a zygote toilet The stem a pipe The base my feet Bleeding from the inside Seeping down in to my baby toe One day it may rot right off I left my sword in another life But I’ll let you slice me with yours Oh yes deeper until I remember Until the handle blocks your jabbing The blue blood flowing down My thighs then my knees And I’m on my feet again Seeping down on to my baby toe One day it may rot right off You would never know On my naked flesh The colors of blood I’ve painted myself with His and mine both one Under the existing armor He loved to touch He never gave a look To his own metallic reflection Still pumping through my veins Lifelessly Right down through my baby toe One day it may rot right off My hands tremor I’m off balance The world won’t know why But the earth cries for me I hear it in the garden Where I bury things The bottom of my feet Still stained with the dirt I walk everywhere with it With my baby toe still hanging on Beneath the beige band aid And a rotting odor that only I smell |
