I became published via a writing contest for poetry in 2010 and published again in a best of poet's anthology in 2011. I took my first creative writing course at Chico State University in 1992. I won my first prose poetry competition in 10th or 11th grade, and my writing style has evolved from prose to poetry since then. I enjoy building characters with characterization and creating a unique reading experience.
