to those who had to leave us, be it to somewhere else in this life or out of it

You had to leave, there was no other choice, right?
It was never your decision, and that is why it was useless to fight?
The final moments between us must have been so hard for you
Perhaps even with more pain than what you did let out, isn't that true?
It is always difficult to feel the other side of a forced farewell
But on what to put the blame? in a departure so sudden that left us with so many words we're now unable to tell

Goodbye dear family, you who blessed me with my first experience with love
You who always picked me up when i used to fall, indeed you were such a blessing to have
Now that we're far away from each other, I'll pray for you, wherever you are
With your memory at heart, illuminating the darkness of agony like a stubborn bright star

Goodbye dear friends, you who made it your mission to share both the good and the bad
Despite us being strangers at first, it was clear we were meant to be close from all the moments we had
Be it laughter on the silliest of things, or tears shed for the dearest of matters
It was an honour and a pleasure to do both with you, and now a farewell is upon us...one that shatters
You'll still be a part of who I am, with all the good I learned from you
And hopefully wherever you are you'll be fine, for that is another prayer of mine too

And goodbye dear love, though where do I begin when talking about you?
You who helped me find peace in a world of sorrow
You who helped me keep hope in the events of tomorrow
You who saw in me what others were blind to
And you whom I always admired, with the sincerest of feelings for you
You'll also remain part of my prayers: and may you find beauty wherever you are, much more than what I saw in you

We get to bid many farewells in life, and sometimes it is a departure so sudden we don't even get to have words in it
And though the partings differ: what's next not so much
For we pick ourselves after it. for us, for them and in the name of everything precious left, no matter how small it is
Because the loved ones who had to leave left with us, silently, the best of wishes
Among them is to live on strong. and strong we shall live, For the duty of the beloved is to do so, supported by the memories he cherishes
