Yet your upturned lips shine by lamplight; a cat peers at your moon's dark phase.

As seen through lace

Eyes blank,
oblivious;
cold countenance,
obsidian.

Yet your upturned lips
shine by lamplight,
mauve medallions,
as seen through lace.

Behind her window,
across from yours,
a cat peers at your moon's
dark phase.
