Sometimes I make drawings taken from 19th century mugshot photos. While I'm drawing, I think about who the captives were at their core ----Hardened criminals? Hungry innocents who stole bread? Generally larcenous characters? Many look like deer 'caught in the headlights', others mock the photographer, some reveal shame. I can't see AI catching subtleties revealed by the muscle tension around the mouth, the squint in the eyes, the angle of a chin.
