This stuffed Beanie Baby dog came tagged "tracker" which fits my search for knowledge.

Here are words I like to write
All day long 'til it is night.
Words go up and words go down
When complete approve the sound.

If you complete my little rhyme,
Things will come your way in time.

Blogging Circle of Friends My image item number was unavailable. I will edit it when I get a minute.

Prompt: Write about a webcam connecting to another universe.

Julie looked fondly at Syman's insides thinking back to creating his mechanisms back on Earth. She and her team endured a five-year space trip to Ramada in the effervescent Universe she now called home base. It was a routine visit to her shop for routine maintenance. Getting this webcam for Ramada, in the Solidarity Universe was a miracle for the beings on Ramada. A combination of Earthlings, native-born, and those seeking asylum from other universes kept immigration offices humming.

Intake applications were completed by novice nerds, a term of endearment. They were really robots which could do the job all day and night and never get bored.

The webcam opened new avenues of communication. Julie minored in Speech Communication in college. She loved to speak almost as much as she wanted to build things. Her natural ability got her noticed and the rest was history.

She left her Syman in perfect order, waiting for a nervous nelly to come by and transport him back to the King's mega office. If you asked, Julie would explain Syman is an acronym for System Yes Made All New. She liked the process of being the one to name her new inventions. Next she was going to revolutionize phone service. She was pondering a name as she stepped into a transport vehicle. Neighborly Ned was her driver. She couldn't wait until he told her a joke that was sure to find her laughing all the way home.

My mind is still a heap of mush. I am spinning too many plates in the air at one time. I am one of those people who has not learned to use the word no. I am doing some new stuff and find it challenging but rewarding when it is finished.

Blog City Prompt

On February 17th, 1992, convicted serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer was sentenced to 15 consecutive life terms for a series of gruesome murders; he was later killed by a fellow prison inmate. What do you know about infamous serial killers? I've included a quiz, if you want to try your luck for fun.

I took the quiz. Did not do well. I have been fascinated by serial killers for a very long time. Until I saw the recent movie about Jeffrey Dahlmer, I had only read about them. Seeing the way he got his victims and the way he killed them in a movie grossed me out.

I have started watching court TV. The murder trials are single people usually killing one person. The latest trial is about a father who murdered his 5 year old daughter by beating her to death when she peed in the car they were living in. His girlfriend or wife was not the girl's mother but witnessed the murder which was covered up for several years with the corpse in the crawl space above the air vent.

Could be why I have been a little down lately.

February 16th,1861 Abraham Lincoln stops his train at Westfield on his way to Washington to thank 11-year old Grace Bedell in person for her advice to grow a beard to gain more votes. How do you feel about beards? Should they be trimmed neatly or left to grow out naturally? If you were seeking a new person in your life, would the beard be a deal breaker?

I am not a fan of beards for my guy. Mine had a mustache when I met him. I was not shy about telling him I did not like the mustache. On the second date, the mustache was gone. We were married nine months later. Others are welcome to wear beards that are neatly trimmed. No goatees, though. They look devilish to me.

I am tired of writing. I have a couple of medical issues. Cataracts and a bum knee. The vision thing is a real problem when writing. I am waiting to see when surgery can be set up.

Yesterday was a disappointment because plans got canceled but at least my daughter is okay.

Blog City - Every Blogger's Paradise.

Prompt: A blue feather arrives in an envelope in your mailbox. No note or explanation. Who sent the blue feather and why?

Valentine's Day is just another day for me. I remember that one miraculous Valentine's Day when I first moved to Arizona. I was used to having my mailbox right up on the house. Here, they were next to the curb. It was in fashion to make unique mailboxes maybe in the shape of your house, or it could be painted like a barn. Ours was huge because we received all of our small business mail there with periodicals and big business manila envelopes. My daughter paints beautifully. She drew a freehand picture of mountains with pine trees, a waterfall, and a very blue lake below and painstakingly painted it over a week. I knew ours was the best on the block.

Imagine my surprise when a mama and papa Eastern Bluebird couple moved in. They allowed me to watch as they waited for their three hatchlings to break out of their shells. It was early for the mama to lay eggs. Usually, this happened at the end of February or the beginning of March. I was fascinated to see how carefully they built their nest.

That Valentine's Day morning, the mailman was late. I checked the box at least three times. Everything looked normal. When the mail finally arrived there was more mail than I expected. As I pulled out the envelopes and magazines, a blue feather fell to the ground. It was from my late brother. We had a pact going before he passed away that when he visited me he would leave a blue feather as a symbol of our sibling bond. Blue is a spiritual color that calms the soul.

I picked up the feather and placed it in my pocket. I would put it with the others. I turned to leave when I heard chirping. It was a magical Valentine's Day.
