Touching, comical tale of a little girl who thinks she knows it all and if she doesn't is willing to make a good stab at trying. Made me laugh! which is always a good sign.
Possibly could use a slight bit of editing.
Thi is to me the absolutely most beautiful thing I have ever read. It touches me more deeply than I can ever say for altho I am a woman with a grand-daughter of my own, I still miss the sweet woman who was Grandma to me. She is always in my heart as I hope I will forever be in my Natasha's heart.
How proud your Grandmother must be to know you have written her this overflowing loved filled poem.I'm sure she does know and watches over you every day.
Keep writing, I hope to read more. Maretta
Sincere, wonderfully true sentiments presented with such love to all of us that "Hope someday soon we all will be together" I cannot imagine a heart this poem would not touch.
We sing it every year too and it ALWAYS crosses my mind that this is the ultimate hope.
An absolutely lovely word picture story of a woman who has lived her life well and now looks with faith to the wonders she will behold.Beautifully thought out and written
This poem tells it like it is , in relating how we teach our children. Seems especially relevant in todays world of overly spoiled children. To teach love, respect and caring about others is to provide your children with a gift that will see them thru life and yes their Grand-children"s too.
To me this sounds like an intriguing beginning to a story you have started to visualize. It has a good premise. Keep writing and I'll be looking foreward to more.
I don't find this weak, my friend. Lovely imagery of times remembered fondly. Images of home.
Had to read another of your pieces as I enjoyed the "Pigs" so much.
Please stop over at my port.
A sad, beautiful poem that touches me deeply for it is commonly heard in todays life. If only we could
realize that because parents might decide to give up on each other, their offspring still love both parents they were born with and it is cruel and selfish to seperate them if not for a valid reason and a personal vindetta is not a good reason.
A Brave, well written descriptive piece about coming to terms and dealing with life after a stroke. I hope perhaps you writing will somehow take the place of your music . Seven years ago I had an accident and my elbow was smashed. After botched surgury, I have limited use of my arm as far as raising it high enough to eat etc. I now use my left hand for eating, combing my hair etc. I can still type and even knit but I also played the piano and of course that is seriously limited. {and I just played for my own enjoyment} I pray someday you may be able to play again but until then make the most of every day ,that is what I have learned from adversity. God Bless.
The authors sometimes humorous, sometimes quizzical, and sometimes nostalgic memoreies of of her childhood.
Told at times with a wry tongue that is appealing.
I think this could use another edit to tighten it up but it's a good read.
Sign me up fpr a blender. My daughter who married after 30 {so there is hope},received at least five.
A lovely, humor ridden piece of the necessity of "singles" to have the in things for the kitchen and entertaining.
An "I don't believe he said that moment" presented with humor and horror. Now that 15 years have passed I'm sure that you have returned the favor. A you made me smile piece.
An amazing, loving testement to those left behind in nursing homes A piece that would remind us, if only we would listen, that these people described so elocquently as Ruthie, Nettie etc, by the author are real and needy of our patience and understanding.
A poem written with love, for a father as his child pinpoints his life and checks off the things the father has lived and gone through. The child follows the father to his grave and hopes for his new life to begin. The poem ends with "It is Done". A moving piece.
This is a delightful poem/story of what a newborn may be thinking. Very original and witty. Clutches at your heart even as you know the baby knows he/she is the boss and can twist you around their little finger
this story kept me riveted and is well writtem. I would suggest a space between paragraphs. it would make it much easier to read.
The dream ending is perfect! Not only was he happy, so was I.
This saga touched me and made me laugh as my brother and I were part of the same sort of controversey. {only we were German and Irish} We ended up in St. Theodore's Catholics chool and I somehow ended up keeping both families happy by learning Latin;the dead language[yet sounds so intellectual.} and also learned to swear in German which my one grandma and grandpa reverted to when angry.
Family stories to me are the greatest arn't they?
A story we can never hear too many of. A dream that gives us warning and when we are wise enough to listen saves us from dire circumstances.. To me this is what I call my guardian angel.
One little thing you could fix, divine :not devine}
A hauntingly, sad in depth story of a family torn apart by strife. Yet as the story ends and the father lies on his death bed, He and his one son are united as the son reaches over to pour his father a drink of water, remembering his mother and her forgiving heart.
This is a well written very descriptive fantasy tale. Obviousley Christopher's fantasy land was much more in depth than the average person but there is a slight bit of this in all of us,something, we wish we could hang on to "in the real world." Love the last line."One night ago Christopher woke up."
