I like the rhyme and the rhythm of this poem. I particularly like the first line in the fourth stanza, relating to the scrolls.

Life certainly does go on continually bringing the rough with the smooth. But how can we establish what is good in life if we haven't experienced the bad to compare it with.

I liked this poem.

Short but interesting and moving. I can't wait to find my soulmate, so I must have a quiet word with fate.

Review of Bullied
Review by Poppy Moss
Rated: E | (3.5)
Hi Reagan
Thank you for sharing a part of your life with us. Just continue being you and enjoy the love of your family and true friends. They are the ones that matter.

As for the bullies, we have a saying here in England. 'What goes round, comes round.' So they may find themselves being bullied at some point in their lives. They move in gangs because they are cowards and cannot face up to life on their own.

Many famous people were bullied when they were younger and they survived to have full lives. I hope your life is a full and happy one in the future.

I love this prayer. It is from the heart. The flow makes it easy to follow and i like the occasional slant rhymes within it.

Another powerful poem, showing how we can overcome adversity by being strong and holding on to our own power instead of letting someone else take it from us.

Keep on writing and showing us the way to be ourselves and not a clone of someone else's making.

I have a similar experience when I stare into the flames of a fire or into water.

I love the way your poem flows and how descriptive it is.

I remember well the love being a pain in the head experience. A well thought out haiku that takes a complex situation and simplifies it.

Review of Stripes
Review by Poppy Moss
Rated: E | (4.5)
Wow! you've been inside my head when I have had similar thoughts about my son's partner who is viper tongued. She tried it in front of me once, my response made her realise that when my protective instinct for my son steps in then she has met more than her match.

I love the words you use to describe the way you feel. Great poem.

Keep on writing.

Review of Tears
Review by Poppy Moss
Rated: E | (4.0)
Tears have a way of appearing at the most inopportune moments, often causing embarrassment. I like the idea of locking yourself in and hiding away, just in case they do fall.
I liked the flow of the poem and the way you questioned why the tears won't stay back.

Review of Harley Cat
Review by Poppy Moss
Rated: E | (5.0)
I chose this one to review for two reasons. The first being that I was introduced to Harley's by my brother-in-law when I was five years old. He used to let me ride pillion. I fell in love with motorbikes from day one of riding on them.

The second reason, because of my love for Harley's, my daughter named her cat, you guessed it, Harley.

I love this poem because it talks about those good old days and the line, rolling thunder on the highways speaks volumes.

I can relate to every word of the poem, not one was wasted. I too am retired now but the energy in the mind still rides thunder.

Thank you for sharing.

I have been trying to understand the haiku in an attempt to write one. By reading this one it has given me a better understanding of the form. Previous ones I have read in magazines have clouded my understanding of haiku.

Thank you for opening a new door for me by writing a simple yet strong poem.

I love this poem and can relate to it. The night time is always the hardest time to get through when you are alone. The darkness of your mind being deepened by the shadows lurking arround you.

Often after losing someone we recognise that we could have put more effort into a relationship or that we failed in some way. It is then we wish we could have the chance to put it right, when it is too late.

This poem presents the situation in a concise yet touching and effective way.

I found this a thought provoking piece of writing.

Often I sit and think about the wonder of life and still find it amazing that we exist. Simple things, like a walk in the country lanes where I live, always ends up with me contemplating upon the question you ask about the reason and purpose of life.

I find it annoying that scientists disbelieve that we are here because of a Creator. Yet when scientific discoveries are made, they want us to accept them because they say it is so. Then a few years down the line, another scientist offers a differing view.

If they want us to be open minded about these things then they too should be open minded about the existence of God.

An example of their contradictory ways, is that they now believe there may be planets similar to ours that support life. This after years of saying otherwise. They put it down to the advancement of technology. I hope I'm here when the technology arrives that proves the existence of God. Or better still, the arrival of God himself.

Whatever they believe, I continue to have faith and live in the Godlight.

Thank you for inspiring me to cling to my beliefs and my spirituality.

Review of True Ends
Review by Poppy Moss
Rated: E | (4.5)
A moving poem that I feel depicts a broken relationship in an unusual and touching way.

I like the way that you end by saying that you know you will talk again. It's a change from the ones that express anger upon parting. I hope to read more of your poetry.

An interesting take on being late. Sounds like someone who used to work for me. I wished I had followed Hal's habit at times it would have saved me hassle.

I found this to be an amusing and entertaining read. I like the idea of lateness becoming contagious. It was clever to finish the piece with the hearse running out of gas, it was as though 'Hal', was still in charge of his own destiny.

Review of Alarm Clock Man
Review by Poppy Moss
Rated: 13+ | (4.0)
I think most of us have that kind of relationship with alarm clocks or anything that disturbs our peace. My personal dislikes, are car alarms and burglar alarms that are left to sound incessantly..
An amusing piece that I enjoyed reading. Keep on bringing them.
