Review of LIFE
Rated: 18+ | (5.0)
Through this crisp poem the poet has emoted his feelings about what life is.
The chronology of the preferences is kept subjective though. However they are nicely prioritised.
The ACROSTIC form whit one word for each line adds flair to the entire thing.
*Smile* I am glad I bumped into something new *Smile* I liked reading this one

Review of Winter
Rated: E | (4.5)
Haikus have always fascinated me. I love reading them not because of their smaller size, but for the fact that the authors brave themselves to write and describe so much within a constraint of the construction of Haikus.
Here , the poet has decribed how the onset of winter takes away all the vivid colours and transforms all over the earth in gray shades with some icings.
A very nice read for this day !!!

Dear Mr. Gupta. Its always a pleasure to read your work. I am very small by age and exprience to review and rate , but I must faithfully admit that this one is one of my favourites from you. I mean you have really given a smart but an elaborate gist of how women are.
I really enjoyed reading this. It was an experience to read this *Smile*

Review of I Fly Now
Rated: E | (4.5)
In this meticulous poem, the poet describes how one is under the influence of Stage fear and how he overcomes.
The only strength comes in the times of difficulty is the strength of self confidence, the Inner Voice , as we say. The poet has pointed that out very sharply and this marks the reader's eye promptly.
The pauses in the poem and the line breaks do add the flair to think and absorb what the poet is trying to convey,

Thanks for planting this beautiful flower in the WDC Garden !!! *Smile*

Review of I Love America!
Rated: E | (5.0)
Like her Home Country, The author too has had Ups and Downs in her life. Knowing and accepting the fact that there are faults, the author feels so proud to be belonged to The United States of America. There were disobedience movements in USA, which made the country see her darkest nights, yet it emerged stronger. Similarly, the author has faced many situations in her life, and emerged stronger from them. She has learned so much, explored so much, experienced so much, made her point at many times.. And all this because it made it all the more easy while staying in America.
The whole article is painted in love and respect towards the country. And I love it. *Smile*
I am Indian, but still I can relate to what the author is saying because I love India too, inspite knowing its pit-falls. *Smile*

A very emotional poem written from a mother's heart which is so much in pain because her children have been soft targets to her husband's wild behaviour. The young minds are so much in the influence of the terror that they end up having screamy nightmares, they are not stable. The bubbly childhood is painted in black and blue with tears, pain, hurts... The children have gone through hell, but now they are in better arms, their mother's. Though it will take time for the physical wounds to heal, the poet is concern about the wounds in their hearts.. When will they heal? Whether the children will live their life with that feeling in themselves always?
This poem brings to notice that in early childhood the minds and heart are like blank boards. Whatever is written on it stays for long, is engraved in the,. Parents should take it easily with children, afterall who gave the father the pride to be one??? His own children,,, then why he does not think twice before taking a task against them?
After reading this poem, I feel the ache too. And I extend my emotional support to the mother and the children to be strong.

Review of Silent Love
Rated: E | (4.5)
A painful good-bye letter written with reluctant parting words. The poet wishes all good things for his love and wishes the self-indentity to be the way she was, the way she always wanted to be.
The rhyme and rhythm is good, and the flow is well.
The flame of love will however keep burning in the poet's heart inspite of saying a heart-aching good-bye.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece of work *Smile*

The irritation to get back to routine eats this guy out while he is driving back home from an exotic holiday, a place where he found the love of his life.
He is reluctant to go back to work, all he wants is that lady.
The city that now seems as hell, would become heaven with her presence around her.
Every man on this earth would have felt the disaster to come back home after holidays, and you have expressed this very feeling nicely.

One editing is required in the following line : each one more stale then thanthe last

Keep writing !!

Review of Why I Love You
Rated: 13+ | (4.5)
Hey Happyness.. I am reading your work for the first time and that too on my fav genre.
I see you have a flair with words and that too with romantic words.
You have picked up the emotion correctly and draped it in pink words.
Love - is difficult to explain, difficult to express sometimes, but it is the best feeling on this earth. It makes it heaven.
Welcome to WDC ! I would love to read more from you.

Review of The Accident
Rated: E | (4.5)
A sudden phone call makes the world arounf Sri go helter skelter. Possibilities of his wife being hit with an accident, he cannot think, cannot react, all he can do is to desperately check for her all around the hospital.
Finally he finds that the stolen phone of his wife is discovered with one of the badly hit women, and that he has been contacted through the phone.
Destiny rules *Smile*
A lovely ending where the husband starts to explain his wife with a pure confession of his love towards her.
I loved the last line.

Review of OLD MEN
Rated: E | (4.5)
Every inch of a young mind about the oldies is exposed here.
The ignorance they get from the younger generation, makes them weaker physically and emotionally.
The format of the poem suits well and words chosen are appropriate.
Also innovative use of the word Impy suits great !!!

Review of The Divorce
Rated: ASR | (4.5)
The writer does not want to think of his ex, does not want to see her face when he closes his eyes, does not want to see her around, wants all of her belongings along with herself out of the house. Still he ends up writing this nice rhyming poem about her.
Sometimes, the unwanted things linger the most on our minds. *Smile*
But I liked this poem, and also the title... *Smile*

An age related change in one's personal life with marital tag *Smile* is explained here so wonderfully.
The old man's desires shoot up once he discovers the warmth he is greeted with in the sheets. Momentarily he drifts years behind when lovemaking was as easy as breathing. But with old age creeping up, its only a memory to cherish.

Nice poem

Hey Koyal, I was just random reading and I bumped into this poem of yours. Needless to say , its great. You are very talented and it comes from the fact that at such a young age you got your poems published.
There are a lot of people here, talented, who havent got the opportunity to get published. You are lucky *Smile*
You have a strong hold on English, especially on metaphors.
And I like reading your work.

Review of Two Wise Women
Rated: 13+ | (4.5)
Sid's dream of offering Solar Water Pump gets realised back in hometown Bishnupur, West Bengal, India. And to make him reacgh upto this, his wife and his daughter guide him. They act like torch bearers. In the end he offers his share of earnings in this way to his hometown, by building a factory for manufacturing Solar water pump.
The guilt is all washed away by doing this, as he re-pays his debt to his land of birth. A family re-union adds to it. *Smile*

This is such a cute romantic poem. There is so much of sweetness in each and every word, that the offerer of the heart is overwhelmed to give her heart, and the receiver feels all the more responsible.
The whole of the poem is painted in love, respect and promises.
A beautiful poem I must say

Review of Trust Me
Rated: E | (4.5)
Some seperation is talked about in this whole episode.
There is a conscious know that children and the pet wont be able to face a crucial decision made by their parents.
Carrie is a confident woman, Roger being more emotional and soft as compared to her.
Emotional bonding still surfaces between a cracked relationship, where a couple is now taking bold decisions for their children.
A matured husband wife dialogue is shown very well.

Review of Enlightened
Rated: E | (4.5)
Through this vivid Imagery, the poet stresses on the smaller incidences in life where one may get some knowledge.

Every work, task, mundane chores or planned activity brings to light some hidden aspects for us to learn.

These are probably messages sent by the Almighty, showing us the path to the Ultimate Treasure.

The construction, rhyme and Rhythm goes hand in hand. A wonderful experience reading this. *Smile*

Thanks for sharing this here with us.

Like time that does not stay, so would our tough days. Think good and it will on its own, come our way...
Tough times are real trying. They put to test our patience and our character as well. The best medicine is to wait with conviction, pray with belief and be postive always.
I always like reading such inspirational piece.

Making a mistake of involving a third person between the two, a lady is apologising fron the core of her heart. She knows her fault is not so easy to be pardonned, but she still longs for her partner. There is a conscious know of the hurt she has caused to her loved one, and a reason is fair for him to be annoyed with her. But she begs for another chance to prove her love for him.
this is very touching.
To err is human but to forgive is divine. Too easy to say, but thats truth.

I loved reading this.

Review of MOM
Rated: E | (5.0)
Stage by stage description of how mother influenced a child's life at that particular age.
This is an enormously emotional poem, reciprocating all the love to a mother, who has sacrificed her own desires for the children to grow up, and make them better person each passing day. I thought of my mom and myself the whole time I was reading this. A mother daughter relationship is a beautiful one, cannot be named with a better one.

Review of Oceanic
Rated: E | (5.0)
To watch waves emerge from the sea, in cascaded rush over to the shore is a beauty. A mere walk by the waves, caressing our feet, swaying up and down, making our feet sink in the sand is really exotic. It kind of releases the pressure of our day to day life, just as the sand beneath our feet is washed away. With each step forward, there is a different energy infused in us.
This poem reminds me of my walks at the beach with my dad. The ocean was the one talking to us, giving solutions to all our problems. Any scrap that was in the ocean was thrown away at the shore, and thats how my dad taught me to never let grudges in our heart prevail longer time. Throw them away with a blow.
This poem has really left me in deep thoughts. I loved this. *Smile*

Jackson and Bobby give their dad a bad time as he discovers wild animals all around him. These guys want to take them home, reasoning that it may be helpful for them at their class assignments at school.
The funniest part is that, he discovers all this when its almost time to get back home *Smile*
very funny. *Smile*
