 This book is a collection of cultural Black stories, set in the now and forty years ago. The first set, On A Mission, contains numerous stories: Mother Smith, Annie-May,Clara-Jean,Itty-Bitty-Ol'-Nasty Man, And The Mighty Zay-eusm are the main ones. These are witty sometimes sad characters, that find their way to carry-forth.The book also contains cultural poems, essays, and prose. Most of the stories are being created, as I post them, it is a raw blog. I am interacting with my readers taking suggestions for stories, finding out about their interests. It is a work in progress, I go through my stories and smooth then out. It's for fun, some of my stories may eventually find their way into it. The blog is casual and conversational, urban musings. I keep a blog, with the book, to keep readers posted. There are, teaser, excerpts chapters, from my book. | Hi-I hope you're enjoying your weekend. I wanted to outline, the next section of stories, I'll start tomorrow. I had told you a little, it is going to be my slant on popular plots. I'll take, say for instance the storyline, of a characters' life being a total disaster, given certain events. I'll try to put a whole new, spin on these short stories. | I need to take this time to honor, all the fallen victims, of 9/11. I send my prayers, to all their families, to forever preserve their memories. I would like to honor, the fallen of Writing.com, who were lost to this tragedy. Their works, have forever been, preserved, take time to read some of their lovely poems, and stories. Some of their work, is dedicated to their families. It is such a beautiful, memorial. We here as writers, all have diffrent colored, little suitcase logos, that represent diffrent things. | Hi-How's life treating you? I'm about to start the segment,"If I Wrote That Movie", later today. I was looking at some internet stories, about Wallstreet, from now and ten years ago. I saw some newspaper stories, about how lackluster, the environment there, is now compared to the wild frenzy, just some short years ago. It was very scary it look nothing like the Hollywood scenes of the trading floor. A realization, came to me ; the world judges alot of activity, by US, standards. If I was in some financial influencial position, I'd create a flurry. I'd send a hundred, very well dressed, people on the floor, doing frenzied, safe trading. I'd leak the pictures, to API. I'd do it, everyday for at least two weeks, diffrent, looking people, well dressed doing all the gestures-I don't understand. It was some years, there was some type of ripple affect. A story had leaked that some entity, had made major changes, as a result other entites started acting on it. When it came out, that, that hadn't happened, things had already changed. | Hi! I'm back from the long weekend, of too-much barbecue, and soda! I think it's the sauce, I hurt myself, eating that. I know I, kept you waiting a long time. I promised the, next story in August. I had so much fun, just telling stories, and jokes, on to the stories. The next one in the series, is called-DRUMROLL PLEASE! "If I wrote that movie!" | Are you having, a real good labor day? It's beautiful, where I am. I wonder when fall is going, to officially set in. I was going, to get the usual tans, and greens for fall. I was looking in the magazines, fall designs, some of them, look like they raided the give away box! I can tear up y own clothes, if I just want to, be ragged. I'm not too-much for the mis-matched, dots and stripes. I wore that in jr. high, when I couldn't find anything. Sometimes, I think they've been rummaging around, in 1960's closets of middle school girls. They may have just went in their own, old trunks. Have a wonderful, holiday! Talk to you soon. rixxie |
| I am really, enjoying, all this sun out in northern, California. Don't forget, the last day of the California state Fair is Sept. 7th. It's in Sacramento, California, at Cal-Expo. You can always tell me what's going on in your city. I wanted to get out, and enter the fairs', Karoake contest, too-late for this year. I joined a new Karoake club that meets every, weds. It's these new groups called, "Meet-Ups", they are all over the US. You can find one, for people in your area that like to bowl, skate or whatever you're into, you can form one, or join. You just go online, only takes a few seconds. They have a message board, it's cool. I want to go, to sing my favorite, car songs. I like; "I'm your vehicle", "Baby you Can drive my car", "Little red corvette", "Who's going to drive you home", etc.,etc. We used to have, word parties. Where you play songs that all start with the same word. Well, I've got big, pieces of meat full of, spicy sauce, tempting my hypertension, with my name on them! Eat some, ice cold watermelon, drink some ice filled, soda water, and play; "Get on up and Dance" & think of me! Talk to later! rixxie |

| Hi! it's a pretty day here in the valley, nothern California-how about where you are? I'm so excited the state fair starts here today. I definitely want to enter the homemade, wine contest, I was telling you about. I want ot go bet on the horses. Harness racing is a little diffrent than, regular racing-like Kentuckey Derby. I was looking at the horses, they are a little smaller. Tomorrow is Saturday, if you feel lucky you could try your hand at betting. I always, like: 2-2-2, on two, the 2nd, at 2:00, call it numerology or whatever, it's lucky for me nobody else!! get outside and have fun at a fair a park, a pool take the kids skating, whatever-enjoy the sun. It'll will September, and the kids will be back to school. You'll be scrabbling up those lunches. Is it really safe, to leave bologna and cheese sandwiches, with mayo, on the shelf, in a dark closet for three hours? Gawd! It's a wonder some of us made it through the dark ages. I didn't make it to the horse races yet. Did you? Did you use my bet formula, if you win I want a cut! I was reading tv guide the other day. That issue had, their list of the hundred most memorable moments on tv. Sienfeld, made the list and the Lucy show, several shows, that haven't been on tv. I was thinking, if I had a list, wish shows would I pick. I'll give you a few now, and list some more later. One of the shows I would pick, is, 3rd Rock from the sun. The last episode; when the lead character, aducts his girlfriend, and takes her back to his home planet. When Tootie, from Facts of Life, tries to get busy with her little boyfriend, and asked them if he broght his, "Thing-a-ma-bob". Magnum P.I., the episode where he's in a coma and he, has his dead best friend as a guide.The Richard Prior show, it was a special. The episode called, "Ward B", starring Marsha Warfield in a mental ward, with other characters. The episode, of girlfriends, when Joans' boyfriemd, asks her to marry him. |
| They say, no news is good news. I guess you're doing well. I wanted you to get online, and tell me how you're living.I'm glad some folks, got the $4,500, rebate, and a new car. People had been, behind in their mortgages. That's enough to pay a mortgage, get to that new job, and maybe get some groceries. I'm happy for them, that might get the economy back going again. After a long war, it takes a while sometimes, if the past is any indication. I am looking forward, to the state fair. I'm going to make my famous wine, I hope I win. It sarts August, 21, in no.Calif. | HI-what's going on? I started this segment, called,"How You Livin'?", it's been fun. I haven't heard from alot, of people, about what their doing this summer. It's been a beautiful summer! When it's not 101! I've joined this karoake group, and i'm all excited about competiting, in the California State fair, Karaoke contest! I want to start a new, story, next week-I was so caught up, in that Vegas story. The fictional charater, Rick, cracked me up! I decided, I may write, a story about the state fair, or relocating to a new city. If you go to the state fair, next week, it starts on the 21st, of August. Watch out for my homemade wine!!
