It was a dark, stormy night. Wendy struggled to keep her umbrella from turning inside-out as she pushed against the wind. Her black lace dress twisted around her legs.
At last she approached the castle. A guard in armor stood at the gate.
"Your potion is ready." She brought forth a tiny vial.
"Be it strong enough?"
"The king will be no more."
"The plan is complete. We are grateful."
Wendy dropped off her potion and headed back. She knew her plan was complete. Those who plotted the king's demise would be no more. The land was safe… for now.
