My true love came

My True Love Came


I found true love tonight
Under the silver moon
shedding rays of love
on the whole world around.
The love I thought
I lost years ago
returned to me
thanks to St. Valentine.

I found him looking
at me across the crowded
hall full of revelers
dancing to “love love me do.”
His eyes lit up with the pleasure
of having found a treasure.
I knew my sweetheart’s here
as I homed into his waiting arms.

Lonely long years of pain
melted away giving in to tears of joy.
Love was in the air then, now and forever
signalling the start of golden days of
new-found togetherness, trust and stability.
