This Takes the Cake



Two young cubs named Dean and Jake
both wanted the first slice of cake.

It mattered not how much was there.
The two of them refused to share.

All they did was fight fight fight
each longing for a tasty bite.

If Dean would try to have a taste
Jake would push away his face.

When Jake would try to grab a snack
Dean would pounce upon his back.

Naturally there was a crash.
Both looked to see the cake plate smash.

Much to both the cubs' distress,
Instead of cake there was a mess.

They realized their fight was dumb
and the two lions shared the crumbs.
