Hedgehog
A salute to the careless valour of the hedgehog.


Hedgehog

Brave little soul, snuffling in the night,
scrunching, slurping those slugs and snails,
unafraid of what your noisy meals attract,
the interest of predators soon thwarted
by defences honed to needle points
too sharp for tender palates.
