contains some of my present and past poetry. |
| Spring inspirations Turning more to sun, days warm up Sudden shower sprinkles the garden Beads of rain glisten on the leaves Bright sun emerges from cloud cover. Earth emits a cool refreshing scent. A warm wet welcome to young spring! All of a sudden I spy bunches of Marble-sized baby Batavian oranges On the tree, a couple of years young. Green on green, to gaze on and on. While the white little flowers at its side Toss and laugh at my silly wonderment. The cuckoo starts its solitary serenade Cute squirrel barks up the mango tree In a hurry to bite and slice the tender core Of the firm fruit on the long cool branches. All’s new, all’s lovely, the delicious air Of anticipation spread in nature’s domain.
